Palong Wall, Koh Phi Phi Ley

Palong Wall is a gentle dive site, found on the west coast of Koh Phi Phi Ley, which lies in the centre of the Phi Phi group of islands. With the dramatic limestone cliffs above the water and equal beauty below the surface, this spot is a great all-round addition to any dive trip.

Palong Wall Information

  • Time to dive site: 2.5 hours by dive boat
  • Diver level: Beginner
  • Currents: Mild
  • Depth: 5 – 18m

The dive site starts at 5m, descends down to 18m, and has little to no current, making it suitable for all levels of diver. Commonly dived as a relaxing drift dive, it features rocky outcrops and hard corals, sloping away to a sandy bottom. An abundance of marine life can be seen here, ranging from stunning nudibranchs and clownfish, to squid and cuttlefish, and even turtles, stingrays and sharks. Black-tip reef sharks are often sighted in the shallows, so avoid a deeper dive so that you don’t miss out!
