EFR First Aid Training in Phuket ThailandEmergency First Response Primary & Secondary Care

Every day trained lay people are providing a helping hand that can help to prevent death, suffering and long term disability.

Our EFR course will teach you the steps and techniques for handling emergencies through the ABCD's to a patient's lifeline. This is also a pre-requisite for the PADI Rescue Diver Course.

Through independent study of your Emergency First Response Manual, you will be better prepared for the time spent with your instructor who will show you first a DVD then demonstrate various skills, allow you to practice the skills and introduce you to a number of thought-provoking scenarios. You will also be introduced to Automated External Defibrillators and Emergency Oxygen care (they are simply orientations to AED and Oxygen care. We do provide separate certification courses for each).

Also when you have done this course, think about doing the EFR Care for Children Course and giving others 'the confidence to care' with the EFR Instructor Course.

Who knows when we could be faced with a situation that may require that we provide emergency care for injured or ill children and infants? We don’t that is why it is best to be prepared!
This course will teach the everyday layperson to provide emergency care to a sick or injured child. The course content focuses on primary and secondary care for children (one to eight years old) and infants (less than one year old).

You do not need to have previous CPR or first aid training, although those who do will find the course a good refresher for general emergency care skills. It is an excellent course to take especially for those of you who have families, want to work around kids, or just generally want to be able to help if there is a problem. It is also a prerequisite for the EFR Instructor course for those of you who are going down the professional route along with EFR Primary & Secondary Care.

Through independent study of the CFC Participant Manual with DVD, you will be prepared and ready to apply the important skills of this course.

EFR Instructor Course PhuketEmergency First Response Instructor Training
The Emergency First Response Instructor Course is a course for those who want to be able to teach primary care, secondary care, first aid and care for children to others. It is a really useful rating to have as these are things that you need outside the field of diving and can be taught to anyone. For example I know of a chap in Bangkok for example who has gone around selling EFR courses for nannies to families in Bangkok. It does not just have to be in the dive environment but obviously applies in it as well. The EFR Instructor rating is now a prerequisite to become a PADI Instructor so well worth getting.

Below is what you will learn on the course.

Prerequisites

Have successfully completed an Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) course or another qualifying CPR course.
Have successfully completed an Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) course or another qualifying first aid course.
Have completed the Emergency First Response Care for Children Course within the past 24 months.
*Note: Those with CPR/First Aid Credentials from another agency may qualify to take the EFR Crossover Course. We suggest you either contact us or contact the PADI Asia Pacific Training Dept. to see if you qualify.
